Repertoire requirements

Please determine the appropriate division according to your age as of December 15th, 2019.

All repertoire must be memorized unless indicated otherwise.

Unless specified in the repertoire requirements, no repeats are to be taken. However, D.C. & D.S. should be taken. When specific editions are recommended, participants must use those editions. If no edition is listed, please use modern editions, avoiding heavily edited editions.

PRIMARY (Age 10 and under)

  • L. Boccherini: B flat

  • F.J. Haydn: C Major

  • F.J. Haydn: D Major

  • D. Kabalevsky

  • E. Lalo

  • D. Shostakovich: Concerto No.1

  • C. Saint-Saëns

• J.S. Bach: any Sarabande from a Cello Suite
